Greater China Business Analysis:
China Business Advantage reported daily on local attitudes towards presidential candidates for the Republic
of China’s 2008 presidential election. Our reporting was based on views expressed during press conferences,
political rallies and local media reports. After forecasting Ma Ying-Jeou’s win, we prepared a report on the
potential impact of his victory on the island’s foreign economic policies, domestic economy and local financial
markets. China Business Advantage conducted interviews with academics, business people and economists in
Taipei and Shanghai. Based on these findings, our report analyzed Ma’s economic development agenda, the
prospect of increased ties with mainland China, and sectors of the economy that are likely to benefit from Ma’s
policies.
Client Testimonial:
"The excellent on the ground work helped us understand the short term and longer term affects of the
presidential election on Taiwan’s financial markets. We found the benefit financially rewarding. Our
expectations were met by the quick response to our project request. Fluency in Chinese was a terrific benefit.
The quality of the information was terrific and insightful and very thorough. I would recommend China
Business Advantage to other companies because the reports were of a very professional nature, they were
completed in a reasonable time, and we felt went beyond our expectations."
